EAD Status: Validation Error Please Sugget

Hi ,

The status check website gives the following errors :

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

* Case Status Retrieval Failed
* This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283.



I received this error when checking my case status. I entered the receipt number CORRECTLY.
Has anyone else faced the same thing?

How do I talk to a customer representative? It is all automated.

you have to call during regular business hours, and if the clerk cannot find your application in the system, request that you speak to the immigr. officer. You will be onhold for another hours, but for me it paid off - I got my EAD within a week after it could not be found in the system for two months.
