Once we get the EAD in order that spouse to work do we need to inform the sponsoring employer or are there any other steps involved ..

No you are not supposed to inform your employer. My wife has been working for 6 months, but get her SSN on receiving EAD.

Get SSN and start working

She can work any where any employer. You do not need to inform any one.

Your spouse will have to fill form I9 with his/her employer indicating his/her eligibility for employment.
