Gurus,

Please help. My EAD is expiring in July first week. I have file for renewal in Feb First week. I tried everything including going for interim EAD but that didn't help to get my EAD. So if I will not able to get my EAD by July first week and sicne I am working on EAD and I don't have H1. Will I become out of status and forget about getting my Green Card? Please help, I am anyway loosing my job without EAD. Also please help what else I can do to expedite process.

If your I-485 is still pending, you will REMAIN lawfully present in the US even if your EAD expires. Remember that the EAD is just permission for you to work, not stay, in the US. Some people don't even apply for it (e.g. spouses of principal applicants). So an expiring EAD will not jeopardize your green card application.

As for options, you should immediately contact the office of the members of congress of your district/state. Most of them have people in their offices that specifically deal with such issues (yes, for non-citizens).

Take an INFOPASS appointment for the next available date at your region. There is a straight option right before the appointment time selection page that is about 90 days past for EAD renewal and still no response. Do not leave the USCIS office before they give you an update on your case. Hopefully there are no RFE's.

I had applied for EAD renewal on April 12th 2007 - no change in any LUD's. Went for INFOPASS on May 25th 2007. I was informed that I had to go for Biometrics. I was given biometrics appointment for the very next day - May 29th 2007. My case status as of today shows Card ordered for production on May 30th 2007.

And yes, as jk0274 responded - this is not related to any out of status. Your status is I-485 pending adjustment of status for permanent resident.

did you mean that your EAD card is approved now? It seems that you did not select that option of "90 days past", in infopass appt.
I am in same situation where EAD expires soon and no-signs for renewal yet. Can I go to Infopass even if 90 days are not passed since I apply for renewal?
 
biometrics appointment after appied EAD(Efile)

My case (485) is transfer to from VCS->TCS
Last week I had applied the EAD Efile to TCS.

In VCS after applied EAD Renewal I called to schedule the biometrics appointment.

In TCS :
Do I have to call TCS to get biometrics appointment or TCS schedule the biometrics appointment ?
