Hi Guys,
Where should I send my EAD renewal application? Texas or Chicago? I am on Employment based I-485 (EB1). Actually, I already sent it to Chicago last month and got a receipt this week. On the receipt they tell me next step is to make an appointment at local office and take my biometrics. I already did my FP (I-485). But a friend (an attorney) told me I should send my EAD application to Texas. Do I need to withdraw my application from Chicago and re-file at Texas? Or just leave my application there (Chicago) and do what they want me to do. Need your help. Thanks a lot.
 
you should file EAD to same place you file I-485 for. I'd still go and do the biometrics, it is different than I-485 FP. I dont know about withdrawing the application or filing new one. who knows, may be Chicago will just transfer it to Texas (if thats where u applied for I-485)
 
EAD renewal applicaiton should be sent to Texas, if u have concerns and ur EAD is expireing soon and u wish to resend to Texas, u may send this to following address with cover letter. (I believe chicago will not refund it so u may got $175 shock).
