apply atleast .... 6.... months ahead ...

So Should I apply after Oct 10th or before Oct 10th? I am worried that if I apply before Oct 10th, they might reject my application.

Is there any advantage in going for Paperbased EAD over online EAD?
Thanks

You can apply 180 days in advance. But the problem with that is you might be at a loss, bcoz they dont issue back-to-back EADs. (that is what happened in my case...lost 2 months in the newly issued EAD for my wife).
The best bet is to apply 100 days in advance. So that on the day you complete 90 days and your EAD not approved, you could go for an iEAD.

online EAD has proven to be a little slower than paper based filing, as it is still in its infancy. But both have pros and cons though.

Can you briefly tell us about the pros and cons of online vs paperbased EAD?

Online filing....advantages

1. Easy to file and online application receipt. You will get the receipt number then and there and need not wait for one in mail.
2. You also get a paper receipt in mail later on.
3. No need to take photographs. Your photographs will be taken at the ASC.
4. You can pay the application fee using your credit card and thereby keep track.

Disadvantages.

1. System is still in its infancy. Therefore tend to take a longer time than paper based filing (atleast that is what the trend has been).
2. You'll have to schedule an appointment at the local ASC and go for a fingerprint/photograph.
3. Even e-filed, you still need to mail the supporting documents.

approved in 15 days by paper filing

VSC is moving quickly on EAD's, I did paper filing, its old but its gold. :D

Paper filing EAD is definitely faster ...

I thought EFiling EAD would be faster(considering the technology). But my friend and I applied the day - I efiled and he paper filed. I told him he was crazy. Turns out his EAD came in 1.5 months and mine came in 2.5 months. Now we know who was crazy.
