EAD Renewal w/o lawyer's assistance

My wife's EAD/AP is expiring in Sep 2009. I have read a few posts which seems to suggest that the posters have applied for EAD renewal by themselves without any help from the lawyer. I just wanted to confirm that it can be done and get some idea on what are the risks of doing it yourself v/s using a lawyer to do it.

Thank you for your time

EAD renewal is a straightforward application process and it would be foolish to throw money on a lawyer. Just follow the instructions.

I second nkm-oct23. I actually am quite surprised by how many people assume that the "normal" route for EAD or AP application / renewal is through a lawyer. That's such a waste of money and time. I-765 usually took me only a few minutes to complete, then I photocopied the relevant documents (namely I-485 receipt and a photo ID such as a passport), got two passport photos from Kinkos, and sent the envelope to USCIS. There's not much to it at all.

EAD renewal form(s)

hello everyone

My EAD is expiring in July. I'd like to know the forms I need to file. Is there a renewal form or do I need to do I 485 again.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Awww.... I got the answer after openin i 765 form . Thanks. Wow... I didn't think I would have to pay that much again since it's a renewal.
