EAD renewal: VSC requires color copy of passport/ID? Please share your experience!

A question for EAD renewal: Does VSC require color copy of both the first page of passport and a photo ID (driver's license)? What documents did you submit when you apply for your EAD renewal? Please share your experience!

Just to avoid any RFEs for having visible IDs, better send color copy. You can scan the document and take copy in color printer. You will be dealing with USCIS, You never know when you will get RFE.

I dont think you should ever make "color copies" of such important documents. If you do so, make sure you write in (preferebly big) bold letters that it is a true copy of an original document. I might be wrong but make sure you check the legality before making color copies.
Unless they specifically ask for it, dont give color copies. Just balck and white should do. Thats what I did when I renewed in/around March 04.
 
I got RFE from VSC asking for copies of passport (and recommending also copies of drivers license etc), when applied for 1EAD. I did black/white copies of passport (info pages) and DL (also black/white), and got EADs. Now I applied for 2EAD, this time did not attach passport copies, waiting what happens...
 
I had submitted colour photocopies of the driver's license and the biographic page of the passport just to prevent an RFE, coz a lot of RFEs result because of unclear black and white photoes in the driver's licence and PP. You can get it done in Kinkos for under $10. Be safe than sorry. My 2 cents.
 
Once Staples refused to make a color copy of my Licence.
They said it's illegal to do so. So I just submitted black & white but still got EAD with no problems.
 
My experience

For my EAD 1 my lawer wanted me to get color copies of passport. He said some of his other clients had been asked to submit color copies. For my EAD 2 I have efiled and I have sent color copies of ID documents.
