EAD Renewal Very Urgent

Need Help!!! My EAD is expiring by the end of Feb., and I just submited the renewal by the end of Dec. (ND12/27/03). So according to the current processing speed, there is no way I can receive the renewal in time.

I read about how fast e-file can be here at the forum, (24hrs?), is it the application time and I still need to wait 90+ days for the approval, or it is the actual approval time?

I also heard about speed service by fax in VSC, for special cases, but don't have details for that? Can anyone provide more information, such as what are the qualifications, what is the fax number, any web link about that, etc?

I would really appreciate the help.
 
I will reply to your Q to the best of my knowledge. SInce no one has replied on ur query yet you must be really anxious.

If your center is VSC then ur center on 1/22/04 was processing app received by 10/1/2003.

This means a backlog of about 3 months. If they keep working with same speed then they will look at your application in end of March 04.
And based on ur ND 12/27/03 your 90 days window gets over on March 27th 04 which means you can't have iEAD before that date.

If you have H1B which isn't expired then you better make a trip to Canada and return on H1b status.

I don't know about fax services or special cases. And in E-file of EAD i think rules are still the same as they are in paper file. in e-file You only cut down mail time and writing checks etc. I think so, I'm not sure. Check on that.

why don't you go local INS, try for IEAD (1 week before ur expiration date). If officer is good they may give you, coz your current EAD is going to expire.
 
Thanks for the replies. I am planning to go to the local office for IEAD, not sure if I will have the luck or not, but seems that's the only option for now.

There are also friends told me they have recieved the renewal with 1.5 month from VSC by the end of last year, hope the miracle will happen again.
