EAD Renewal Tracking..

Renewals are faster I guess....

My first time EAD was applied 7/13, RD 7/16 ND 7/19...still waiting. IIO says today they are processing 7/9!

whn to apply for renewal

our EAD expires at feb 2002. my H1b 6 years also exipres at that time. my GC nr/rd is feb 2001. We are thinking of applyting for renewal in september or october just to be safe.. can some of you post your experiences on how long it takes now to get EAD renewal /approval

I would prefer to apply for EAD renewal atleast 4 months in advance

In my case it took 52 days to get EAD renewal approved, from the date I send EAD renewal application to VSC.
 
Totally Messy Situation for EAD

My EAD application was xfered to local INS office in Arligton VA (since my I-485 case has been Xfered too). Even though its been 86 days to the RD of my application, I am afraid that local INS office is taking transfer date as the new RD of the EAD. To top it all, my currenct EAD has expired and my Employer is totally going nuts with the situation. I am still being able to convince him with the situation.. don\'t know till when.

Just wanted to add that I had visited the local INS office yesterday and they were just not ready to help me out. Would not even listen... Arlington VA INS office is a Terrible place for sure

EAD RD: 30 May 01, ND: June 14 01, Xfer to Local INS: 18 July 01 (whole different ball game)

I would suggest apply at least 90 days before your EAD expires to be safe. These days its taking close to 90 days for approving EADs. My EAD expires in 12/01 and I filed my renewal 8/17/01.
