EAD renewal question

I moved from VA to TX earlier this year. To renew my EAD, am I right that I should do this through the TSC (even though my AOS case is with the VSC)?

Have others done something like this and am I right that this shouldn't affect the AOS case (e.g. won't cause them to transfer it to the TSC)?

Where was your original EAD filed? I would think you should do it at the same service center where you've filed your original EAD.

This is just my opinion. Please consult with your attorney also.

You should file wher your 485 is pending and that is VSC.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that everything (I-140, I-485, EAD) was filed at the VSC originally. Yeah, my initial instinct was to file at the VSC (presumably the EAD can't be approved without verifying that I have a pending AOS but I guess the TSC could access this information easily enough).

The USCIS online information (http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-765.htm) says I should file at "Service Center with jurisdiction over your residence or Local Office - depending on where your case is pending" which *seems* to imply that I should use either the TSC or a local office but I'm not sure that this accounts for a pending case filed prior to a move into a new area. The company headquarters was and still is under VSC jurisdiction and we expect the AOS case to proceed to completion at the VSC (or to be transferred to a *local* office but not the TSC).

My attorney initially suggested filing at the TSC then (when I pointed out my case is pending at VSC) thought that VSC might be the way to go...

Has anyone else been in a similar position and where did you end up filing your EAD renewal?
