EAD Renewal Question

Hi Guys,

What is a good time to file for EAD renewal? My first EAD expires on December 4, 2004. When do you think I should apply for the renewal?

My friend had a big problem because you can not get interim EAD unless 90 days are over from the RD date.

Better start 120 days before last date.
 
A GOOD TIME TO APPLY: RIGHT NOW.

Even though the average time for processing is 90 days at the NSC, mine took 150 days. As I had applied for it 4 months before expiration, I was able to obtain an interim EAD to carry me through while my EAD was waiting for approval when it didn't get approved after 90 Days.

btw the average these days is 2 months, but if it didnt get through, you wont get interim EAD unless your application is pending for >90 days.
 
official current processing time is 90-120 days (my wife applied end of April 2004, ND 4/30/2004 and has not received it yet). I would say at least 90 days ahead of time. somewhere around mid August should do fine.
