EAD renewal querry

I applied for EAD renewal in oct. My current EAD is till Feb28, 2004. I received the new EAD card in mail on sat and it has the same dates as of the current one, with same validity till Feb2004. What should I do now? for me the nearest INS office is at pittsburgh which is about 100miles, do I have to go there personally or I can mail to VSC and ask for the correction, its their mistake. I am so nervous and confused.

Does it have the same EAC #?

You should check if it has the same EAC number printed on the EAD card. If it does, that means that they just sent you a replacement card. If it has a different EAC number, then I think they made a mistake, and you can go to the ASC and have them correct it.
 
If you have a copy of the I-765 form that you submitted, verify that by mistake you did not select the second option of "Replacement" instead of third option "Renewal."

If everything was fine there, send a photocopy of your I-765 form, wrong EAD card, and a letter to the VSC with "request to expedite due to service error" as subject line.

If the need for EAD is urgent, try visiting local center.

I think the EAC numbers on both approval notices are different and also with the case status check, I confirmed. Do I have to post again 2 pics for this INS service error? I am going to mail photocopies of all the documents that I mailed for renewal. I am avoiding driving up to pittsburgh, hope mailing to VSC works well. My EB1OR is pending since may2002, I donot know what exactly is going on?

Not necessary. But since you anyway will be mailing other docs, no harm in sending pics again.

It took long..wish you all the best...Yours is employer-sponsored EB1-OR - so the outcome should be quite positive in my view.

Thank you Jigesh for your useful input. Tomorrow I have appt with the immigration coordinator at the school, will keep posted what she says. But like you said sounds correct to mail the photocopies of renewal application along with pics, I hope that works well.
yes, I am getting kind of nervous for the EB1OR delay, its over 1.5yr and no sign atall. VSC processing states they are processing june 2002 cases, hard to believe when people from may2002 are still left behind
