EAD renewal-pls. help

Dear folks,

I need to renew my EAD, since it will expire in December. I am an October filer.

At item 15 on the I-765 form (Current Immigration Status) should I respond with "Nonimmigrant worker", since I am still on my H-1B (and haven't used EAD yet) or should I put something else, like "AOS" ?

The eligibility category should be (c) (9), right?

I don't want to go through my lawyer, since he made me waste at leats 2 years by not applying for RIR in 1997!

When I applied on h1, I put there H1-B
when i used EAD, and renewed , I put
"Adjustment applicant"

if u have not filed I-9, u are still on h1, and put like that.
but then why did you apply for ead in first place
if you are renewing and still on h1.
moment i got ead, i changed to ead.
u can at least get the h1 time froze there.
(dont use 6 years like that)

I applied for my EAD in hope of switching to another job. Well, that job never came through but I'd like to have the option of switching if it does.
The reason I'm still on H-1B is to prevent my boss from cutting my salary.

Similar situation for me too .
I applied for renewal on Aug 29 th and got the EAd receipt yesterday.
I filled with " I-485 adjustee (Pending AOS)" in the status column for me and my spouse
