EAD renewal not come yet, is it safe to travel with AP?

My EAD renewal has not come yet, and the first EAD will expire on 08/18. Is it safe to travel after the expiry date with advance parole if the renewal still don\'t come by then? Is the AP good enough, or do they ask for EAD as well, at the port of entry into US?
Any one who has ever used advance parole, please answer. Thanks.

I have travelled to Europe twice with AP. They have never asked for EAD card or anything else. The only problem is that at the point of entry when the officer sees the AP he takes your passport and AP, puts it in an envelop and instructs you to go to an immigration room where you may have to wait 15 to 30 minutes. Then the office takes the file, checks the computer, asks you whether you intend to immigrate to the US, you say yes, he tells you welcome back and that\'s it. So if they tell you to go to the private room do not get alarmed. IT is standard process.
