EAD Renewal Issue

Hi,

I e-filed my EAD renewal one month ago i.e 1st of Feb.I got my receipt notice but haven't recd any biometrics.The reason why i'm asking 2 months ago one of the my friend renewed his EAD that time he got receipt notice asking him to give biometrics at local INS center i.e where he lives near by center.

Any ideas on this..?

as soon as u efile u need to call them and take appointment for finger prints and photos. they wont send any letter regarding that.
 
But INS people clearly mention on receipt notice that don't call for any appointment unless INS asked you to do so...
 
I dont know, this is a new thing. Last month it was like that. As soon as u efile u need to call them and take appointment. Why dont u call local INS Detroit office in Chene road and find out.
 
Thank you for ur quick response.I'm trying to call INS people regd appointment but there is no such option...BTW i line in VA area but my I-140 and I-485 filed in NSC.So you want me to try local VA INS center?
