EAD/AP renewal for Family based case - LA district office

My EAD & AP is expiring on April 27. I was interviewed on Aug 25, 04. Everything went well but passport was not stamped as the background checks were pending.
Has anyone renewed their AP/EAD for a marriage based case at LA district office ?? I'd heard of cases where people got stamped by walking in to the LA office.
Currently, i'm on H-1B but may change job on EAD.

Pls help.

On Jan14, i-765 processing dt : Nov 24, 04
On Feb14, i-765 processing dt : Dec 21, 04

- Are these dates for EAD renewal also ??
- Did anyone recently got his EAD renewed at LA ? If so, how long did it take ?

Update

I did send my renewal application by mail. Went to ask about status of my case thru' infopass, Background checks are still pending but was told to EAD renewal can be done same day.
So anyone looking to apply for EAD renewal at LA, first take an Infopass appoinment & apply right there.
 
another question

Is there a Biometric fee to be paid when doing EAD renewal ??
I sent a check of $175 only with my EAD renewal application which was cashed. Not sure if i should've sent $70 for Biometrics also....

When people do online renewal, i understand they've to take an appointment at ASC for Fingerpriting etc.
