EAD Renewal - FBI Clearance Waiting, Pls help

All,

Just wondering if anyone renewed their EAD while waiting for the AOS FBI security clearance. Please tell me where to file for the renewal since they have changed the filing location recently.

Also, anybody who got cleared from FBI check recently after waiting?

AOS sent: 08-28-05
FP: 02-04-06
EAD: 02-10-06
AOS Interview: 04-10-06
Pending FBI Check

EAD expiring soon .. DO: Detroit

Best thing is to file online. I did that and got my FP notice right when I hit the submit button. Just make sure you have access to a printer to print the letter. Follow the instructions and mail the documents they ask you to mail out. If I remember correctly, they asked me to mail 2 pictures, copy of the Receipt Notice and that's it. I mailed a copy of the expiring EAD just in case. EAD was received in 85 days.

Thank you for the reply. Where did you mail your documents too? I just want to know if I need to send this out to the local DO, Chicago lock box or Service Centers
 
They dont do a FBI name check for EAD/AP , its only done for I-485 , i had my interview in Jun'04 pending background (Name Check) , i have applied for EAD twice after that...I Efiled my application ..its very simple
1. Submit E-filed EAD
2. Send supporting document to address on the Efile Application
3. Take an appointment with ASC by calling 1-800 for Biometrics ..

No, just read the instructions. Also, the mailing address and instructions will all be on the printout you get when you submit your applications. Don't panic...It's easier than you think :)
