EAD Renewal - Attorney

Hello
I do not have 140 approval notice, but i can see it electronically in USCIS website and my wifes 485 receipt is not there but we can see that also in website. Last time, i used an attorney to file for EAD , is it needed or can i do it myslef, does it make a difference.

--------- ask your lawyer to give you your and your wife I-485 filing reciept copies. once you get the I-485 copies from lawyer then you can directly apply EAD, AP. You can do it yourself.

I got my I485 receipt from the attorney of my old company. He said he only had my 485 receipt only, my 140 approval and my wifes 485 receipt are missing. He asked me to look it up online, last time the attorney I hired used these to get EAD.

So, confused with me not having all the papers should i file it myself.

-------------- if same lawyer filed I-485 for your wife he should have I-485 reciepts of your wife. The lawyer who filed I-485 should have I-485 filing reciept of your wife, did any lawyer file for your wife EAD AP After filing her I-485? he may have copy of her I-485 filing reciept
