Hello,

My attorney is charging $850 for EAD renewal for myself and my wife.
The legal fee is $500 plus USCIS filing fees of $350.

I feel he is charging more, please let me know your opinion.

Thankyou
Rakesh

Why cant you do it for yourself, its nothing other than you fill in those forms that are specified for EAD. You need to send a copy of old EAD card and also your I485 receipt notice.

Want GC Soon :)

Just lost a little bit.
If we send EAD card also with renewal application, what will we be left with to show to new employers?

Don't forget to attach the portion of the EAD ( The paper/form you get when your are approved .It clearly says attach this when you send for renewal)when you send it for renewal.

if you have copy of filled out I765 form (the one which you submitted for present EAD) just follow that for filling new form for renewal.

Documents for EAD:-

1) Photos – 2 (Not earlier than 30 days) – Write name and “A # “ with pencil on back side of Photos
2) $ 175 Filing fee payable to “Immigration and Naturalization Service”
3) Cover letter
4) I- 765 Filled in and signed form
5) I- 485 Receipt notice copy
6) I- 94 – Copy (Front and Back)
7) Last EAD - Copy (Front and Back)
8) Marriage certificate for spouse
9) Mailer top off slip which came with the Previous EAD
