EB1ORAug2005,
I am originally from Andhra. Where are you from in India?

I'm from Madras. I live in CT and was wondering how to contact the senator. Can you please tell me how you contacted?
Thanks.

Hi:

My wife has applied for her EAD (3rd renewal) on 07/21/06; ND 07/24/06. Can you tell me if she has to do biometrics (she had to do it the last 2 times)?

Thanks,

Our EAD (3rd renewal) was rcvd by VSC in end of May. I got approval on July 17th and the card was mailed to us on 19th. Mine was supposed to expire in End of August. But I send to renews in the middle of May. because of the renewal time( was not sure how long it will take to renew it). So I lost 1 1/2 months with my new renewal dates. But I am happy, I have my EAD before it expired.

Thanks a lot for the info.

Does anyone know if this (no biometrics for EAD renewal) is an exception or the current norm?

Thanks again,

EAD Approved in 6 week

This is first time I filed EAD renew online (efile) my and wife. I followed the forum instructions and it was straight forward . I used AP and for wife used H1-B documents to file EAD . Also not lost the days on EAD.
Received Approval notice and EAD card same days.

EAD renewal and travel plans

My wife has pending I-485 (notice date- June 24 2004). She is working on her EAD. She currently reapplied for her EAD for the third time (notice date July 24th 2006). Unlike the last 2 times, we were notified that INS will send a letter regarding biometrics; this is very different from previous times when one had to call the Application Support Center immediately after filing for EAD and make an appointment for biometrics. So, has there been a change in rules? Based on anecdotal evidence from you folks at this forum it appears that most people are getting their EAD's renewed without any fingerprinting. Is this something new? The reason I ask is that although my wife's EAD expires 14th October, she has to travel to India for three weeks preceding that time; we are concerned that she may get a fingerprinting date between her travel time (Sept. 20th-Oct. 14th) and that may disrupt her plans. Is there a way to work around this problem?

Thanks a lot,
