EAD Renewal after New Procedure - How Long?

Hi Folks,
After the new EAD procedure being followed now, has anyone applied for EAD renewal(EAD for the 2nd year), after we do our FP at the local ASC, sign and take pictures.

Since this is a renewal does it really take 90 days to get EAD, as they dont need to see any 485 papers as they have already issued an EAD before?

Has anyone applied 2nd time EAD(EAD Renewal) following the new procedure? If so, how long did it take for you to get the EADs?

What is the new procedure that you are talking about?

I haven't heard any new procedure for EAD.

It is always advisable to start processing your EAD renewal 3-4 months before the expiration of your current EAD. This is very much required if you are working using EAD. Currently VSC is processing EAD applications received on or before 15th Nov 2004.

a friend of mine received his EAD in 5 days after he filed 140/485/EAD just before Christmas. Before New Year his EAD has been approved. Can you believe that ?
