EAD receipt notice received - backlog???

guys,

There has been a lot of talk lately of mail room backlogs at the VSC. But, inspite of all that I received my EAD extention receipt notice on Saturday from my lawyer. He filed for is in the first week of June. The dates on the notice are:
RD: 8 Jun 2001
ND: 14 Jun 2001

What do you guys think? Has the backlog been cleared ???? How do we explain this?

It is because the mail room worked fine ( the new contractor took over on 06/15/00) for some time from 06/15/00 to 06/21/00. See the details in immigration-law.com

EAD/AP renewal received by VSC 06/11/2001
Receipts received on 06/20/2001 with ND 06/14/2001.
AP Approved on 06/21/2001,
AP Received by mail on 06/23/2001
Awaiting for EAD approval
