EAD question?!?

I check the status at the online for the EAD. It says notice has been sent for further evidence. What might they need? My wife got the EAD. Any ideas. It says the notice posted on 12th Dec. But still I didn't receive it? Why? Thanks.
 
There could be million reasons. Wait for the RFE to come. It generally takes one to two weeks for it to come to you.
 
possible rfe

1. I-140 approval notice copy
2. Color Photos as earlier photos may not stand upto the standards
3. Color zerox copy of any of your ID's like Driver's licence and Passport with your photo and signature

etc..

Check with you attorney frequently.
He may get the RFE ( If he applied for your EAD)

Appreciate if you could please let us know the filing details, such as RD, ND, RFE Dt, etc. Did you e-File or thru mail ?

if you dont receive the RFE with a reasonable time, I guess you should try your luck by calling NCSC.

I think color copies of important documents like passport/drivers lic is not allowed by law. When I asked for color copies for passport at local Kinko's , guy said that it was not allowed by law. I tried several other places but same response.

In fact I had cops calling my home to verify why I needed color copies, as Kinko's guy seems to have informed police.!!!

I finally settled for multiple black and white copies with different brightness levels and some grey tone copies.

EAD was approved.

Not to worry on your RFE, in all likelihood it could be for new set of photos or it could be for color photocopies of your DL.

I had mine with the same status and it was for fresh pics and I got it approved in about a week as soon as they received the response for the RFE.

If you dont get ther RFE in 15 days, bug your lawyer or you can can call USCIS directly.

I made color copies as local CopyMax. The can do at 90% or 110% - never at the same size.
 
if asked for colored copies try scanning the driver's liscence and printing using a colored deskjet. Depending on the scanner/printer it should come out ok.

p.s. some time ago, one of my friends was telling me how he made fake IDs for himself when he was in college by doing this (did some changes to the name, pics. etc), so that's how I got the idea. Of course in our case it's legit!
