A friend of mine applied for EAD renewal 3 months before expiry, but never heard from them. Now she has been working for a few months since the EAD expired. She is still waiting for the new EAD. Will this be a problem?
 
No cause for worry

When the EAD is renewed it would be retroactive from the date the old EAD expired so there wouldn't be any inexplicable gap. There is no cause for worry so long as she manages to get the renewal approved - otherwise it would be illegal.

My attorney told me that one can not work with out an approved EAD. If you have a pending H1B, thats a different story, but a pending EAD....:rolleyes: ..
Pending EAD will give you a legal status to stay in US, but probably not to work.
May be you are right about the EAD extensions... I would suggest , talk to lawyer...
 
go to local INS

If you have a pending EAD for more than 90 days, you can always goto the local INS
