I am sorry if this question has been discussed before. I satisfy the AC21 (I140approved I140 and I485 pending since 6/08) portability provisions. I am planning to leave the sponsoring company to join another company. I have a valid EAD until 8/08 and sent in the renewal application two weeks ago to TSC. I also have a valid H1B.
The company doesn't want to transfer the H1B visa unless it is absolutely necessary. My question is as follows if the EAD doesn't arrive until 8/08 can the new company renew my H1B visa in for another year so I don't have to take unpaid leave. I am not sure if your H1B is invalidated if you use EAD.
