My H1b expires on 01/15/2005 and I am using EAD now. I filled the I-9 form and submitted to the employer.
Do I need to do anything else apart from filling the I-9 form?

My 140/485 was filed in Dec 2003. I have the 140 approval, EAD and AP but I'm still working on my H1-B. I now want to switch my empolyer and join another company on EAD:
- Is it ok to do that?
- What is the process of starting your work on EAD?
- Someone told me that I need to tell INS/USCIS about the switch and provide some proof that my new company is stable and can support me (salary etc)?
One has to think long and hard before switching with EAD. You have to have 'Similar' job requirements etc. and should avoid potential RFE questions. If the current job is safer and things are working out OK, then it is better to stay.
One need not notify CIS about the change and normally people inform when they are layed off or the current job is in danger. It is one's own decision.
