when is your EAD expiring?
Just would like to know how soon people are applying.
mine is expiring in Jan/6th 2003.
Do you think i can wait one more month,as i said,my wife's is expiring on Nov 25th and she is not working.i would like to wait for one more month and apply for both of ours.
please suggest me if this is ok.

I did my wife's EAD myself and it came in 45 days early this year. The only document I sent was
1. I 765
2. copy of latest 1-94
3. 2 photos
4. Copy of I-485 receit
5. Check for requisite fee
6. A covering letter requesting an early action
This year I applied for my EAD and got a notice of action to redo the photos. Did it and sent again to INS. In the meantime, I got my GC approved. I have now applied for refund of the fees EAD and AP fees. Not sure INS policy allow refund, waiting for the check. If anyone got such a refund, I would welcome their comment.
If your wife has already used her EAD earlier, there is a possibility that her H4 status is invalidated and you may need to get extension of EAD for her to remain in status.
EAD's against employment based 485 is usually done at Service Centers. Check with your local INS office, you may be lucky to get it done at there.
If you have to spend, I would suggest you do it yourself, you can save a lot of money.
Remember, am not a pundit in these matters, take decision on your own judgement or good counsel.

Drivers lic was attached to the EAD earlier by my lawyer when he applied for the first time so I did the same, but no where I read it needs to be attached.
Let of attestation is " I certifiy that all documents attached are the true copies of orginal documents." And sign it that's all..

I have not received EAD Card
can any of you provide concrete advice as to how the EAD is sent. I submit 485 and 765 to Vermont July 9 information was transferred to Baltimore. I received fingerprint appointment for the 29 but I have yet to receive the EAD card. Gaining employment is a must.

I need to know-
1. Is there any complication involve if I get an EAD for my
spouse who is on H4 currently?
2. How long the EAD is valid the first time spouse gets it?
3. Does getting an EAD for spouse involve any complication for
my situation if I don't use EAD but keep working through
H1 until I-485 approval?
Any comments/answers would be much appreciated.
