EAD question - Have you ever applied before

Hi folks,
I have a question. In the I765 form, there is a question "have you ever before applied for employment authorisation from INS"?

I had obtained EAD for Optional Practical Training as a student. So, do I answer "yes" to this question? Please clarify. (currently filing for 485 and am filing the I765 form).

--- You have to write YES and can explain on cover letter that you had obtained EAD for Optional Practical Training as a student from service center>>>>
