EAD - proposed new regulation - valid for more than 1 year

My EAD is set to expire in a few months. I see here:

that CIS will propose a regulation to extend the valid period of EAD for more than 1 year. In Shusterman's newsletter, he said that it would be tied-in to the I-485 somehow.

My question: is it worth waiting a couple of weeks to see what CIS will be doing about this? Or should I just apply, and take advantage of this next year?

depends on when ur current EAD expires. If u can afford to wait for few more weeks, it wont hurt to wait. its better to get mutli year EAD now rather than next year, save yourself some $$ but only if u can afford to wait.
