EAD processing time

Hey, everybody,

I submitted my package on April 6, 2005 [notice day]. It's been more than 3 months now, obviously, and luckily I managed to get an appointment in TPA on July 18. My question is though, looks like people with higher case number [I found 2 by guessing numbers] already had theirs approved while ago. It's at the same center, MSC. Could it be because my FP didn't happen until 6/16? How long it usually takes after FP?

yes it was because of your FP

If you submit your FP early it would take a month or two to receive the EAD.

Can anyone tell me how long does it take to receive the input about EAD? On 13th july it will be 90 days of my filing for EAD. I can see my case status online, updated on 6/3/05 but nothing has been intimated about EAD yet. Also I have got fingerprinting and biometrics appointment in august. Will it affect getting the EAD? Do they give EAD only to those who have gone through fingerprinting and biometrics? Is there any relation between the two?

I would really appreciate the responses.

You mention that you get your finger print done by walk in. Which office did you walk in ? is it in New York. My case is very similar to yours and I filed my 485 & 785 around June 1st 2005. Last week I received the notice of action from Missouri telling me to schedule an appointment for bio-metrics info and finger printing. Ever since the day I received the notice, I have been calling the USCIS center every day for scheduling an appointment so far it seems all the finger print process center in New York, New Jersey , Connenticut are fully booked till August 22 , 2005.
