EAD Photo ID Issue

Folks,

I keep hearing a lot of issues around EAD delays due to photo ID's . I believe the Vermont Service Center now requires 2 forms of ID . One from the Passport and the other one probably a Drivers License . Is this true . My Lawyer has send in only the passport copy as supporting document for Photos and I am concerned they might issue a RFE for this .

Can someone share their thoughts on this ..

Yes.It's true that NSC also requesting additional evidence in the form of COLOR copies of photo id ( Passport front page or driver licence). But it's better wait till you got your RFE, incase. The RFE requirements will not be the same for all, and it will go as case by case basis.

Thanks . But what is interestting is that they do not require this always and that concerns me , as my lawyer has sent only my passort and that too I dont think it is a color copy .

Any thoughts ..
 
OK. I will present the wording of the RFE received from NSC recently.

...The service requires identity documents photocopied that clearly shows the facial features of the applicant and the biographical information.Standard black and white photocopies most often do not meet the requirement,so it may be PRUDENT to submit COLOR photocopies slightly enlarged from the original document listed below:
...A passport showing your picture and name, and date of birth.
...or a driver license or another type of photo id issued by a government agency. with same information,......
THE IDENTITY DOCUMENT PHOTOCOPY MUST CLEARLY SHOW THE FACIAL FEATURES OF THE APPLICANT AND THE BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION.

So, by the typical wording of the above RFE, we can assume that either the id (B & W photocopysubmitted)along with EAD application earlier may not clear enough to SHOW THE FACIAL FEATURES OF THE APPLICANT AND THE BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION.
We may also assume that the B & W copy submitted earlier is enough to approve the case if the facial features and biographic information is clear enough for that inspector (immigartion Officer).
 
I sent PP and old EAD ...

I had sent color copy of PP and color copy of EAD for renewal of EAD and AP. But for the first time, I had to send photocopy of PP and DL.
