EAD or OPT?

My wife is currently with F1 visa and is graduating this August. We filed I-485 this January in which I am the primary applicant.

My question is:
At this moment, should my wife apply for optional practical training or apply an EAD with me? Would there be any possibility that her opt application get denied as our I-485 has been filed?

All your opinions are appreciated.
 
she should apply for EAD- 485 based. In fact she should have applied for along with the 485 application. Applying for OPT might abandon the pending I485...
 
My wife has the exact situation. Do you guys have any update on this issue. Actually, my wife has already applied for her OPT. Any negative impact on our I-485 application? Thanks a lot!
