Hi gurus,

Please advice.... This is for my wife...

She was on H4 ...but she got h1 approved few days back so that she can work from Oct,2007...

Now today her EAD got approved...

My question is,

1. With what (h1b or EAD) should she apply for SSN ?

2. If she got job on basis of EAD, whether her employer (who did h1b and GC) have any issues or will create any issues?

Please advice....

According to me working on H1-B might be better.
Because, if for any reason your I-485 gets denied, your wife EAD would also go away.
If she maintains her H-1B, she would still have an H-1B if this happens.

Also, if she is maintaining her H1-B any time she wants to shift to EAD, she can. She would still keep on possesing her EAD. Only when she uses her EAD her H visa goes away.

I am not a guru.. so wait for what experts have to say on this. May be there are some advantages of working on EAD rather than H1-B.

She is still on H4 ... She can work only from oct 1st...

So if any reason our 485 is denied, she can use approved h1b to work, right?

Please let me know..
