EAD only after 140 approval, please comment.....

Let me describe the situation in detail.
Yes, they did ask for the I-140 approval notice a couple of time. First time at the window that issues the ticket. I showed the I-140 receipt and the officer said this is not approval notice. I indicated that EAD has been passed 90 days. He looked the receipts again then issued ticket and gave me a form and let me in. When I was called to process window late, I was asked to show the I-140 approval notice again. This time the officer would not accept my explaination and he wanted to disqualify. I then insisted to talk to their supervisor with the reason many others got iEAD under same situation. It is obviously that different people has different answers on this even within the INS! I finally got my iEAD while I-140 is pending valid for 8 month. They took the copy of I-140, I-485 and I-765 receipts.
I went to there at 6:00am and finished at 3:30pm. There were about 100 people in line. My ticket number was 58. I guess a number of people was not given a ticket. You don't have to be that early. I found that they still let people in around 3:00 pm. Good luck!
