EAD needed?

Hi,
I have 140 and 485 concurrently filed on Sep. 2002. Nov. 2003, my lawyer informed me that I140 was approved. However, my H1B will expire before this April.
Do I need to apply EAD now I'm in 485 pending status?

Unless you've violated the terms of your H-1B, you're still in H-1B status. You, well your employer, can renew the H-1 if you want.

Get the H1B extention (if you plan to continue with your current employer) and apply for EAD also. In case if you want to change the job.

A seperate question. My AP will expire this Nov. If I don't get GC by then, can I apply once more if I need to travel outside of US?

I actually AM thinking if I should change a job. Although I have passed the 180-day period, I'm still kind of concerned because it's the company that supports the GC application.

What's you guys oppinion?

Yes - give yourself 3-5 months for AP renewal.

If it's a similar job you should be OK.
