EAD - JOb loss what next

My Situation

PD --> EB2 oct 2005
140 --> Approved April 2007
485 --> Pending since October 2007.

I'm not on H1B anymore and working for my GC Sponsoring employer using EAD will end soon.

1. What happens to my legal status and how I can help it to retain if my employer says bye bye.

2. What is required with him to maintain my status.

3. Can I work for any company who'd want to
offer me a contract position and also run my
payroll on their W2 ?? Is there any Legal
problem here, (provided my GC employer
doesn't mind).

4 If any other company offers me Full time, Can
I use AC21 and port my GC to the new employer
(provided it'd be similar job title and
duties) ??

5. My spouse is on ead now. Is it ok for her to come back from india without any issues (if no job for me) . Advise

6. Can I avail unemployment benefit on EAD without any issues.

Please help me with your suggestions in these dire situations.

You are legal with pending I485 with or without EAD

Come back with valid AP, EAD has nothing to do with coming back

How it works without any issues. The big issue is your pending I485 could be denied giving all the scenario

I find that my I-129 has been updated in the US Immigartion site during my GC Process.

Any idea why that got updated..
