EAD Interview after I-485 Approval?

Hi all,

I've a very weird question, i applied for my EAD, AP, AOS in Jan 2003 and had my AOS interview on April 30,2003 and got my I-551 approved along with stamp in my passport(saying employment authorized as well).

However, i recieved the letter for my EAD interview on May 04,2003 (asking to attend for EAD interview on May 07, 2003) im sure i do not have to attend the interview, but would like to seek more advice if this has happened to anyone before? Do i atleast need to correspond back with INS or should i just ignore the letter? Please advice.

They must have sent you the letter in error. EAD and I485 are handled by two separate departments.

You can go in person and let them know of the error. (i.e. if the office is close by) or you can always send the letter back explaning the error.

You should be allright.
