EAD in person ? - Please Help

Is it possible for me to get EAD in person(visiting local office)
using the receipt ?
or should I always mail it to Vermont center ?

You can apply in person with receipt if you have already waited for 90 days and the approval has not come through. You can always mail in to VSC directly.

I just went to Lawyer\'s place to extend my EAD. He said I would get it in person with receipt.

If I have the receipt and 90 days had elapsed,
I can go in person and get the EAD right?
Is this a temp EAD or same as the usual one ?
what happens to the other EAD which was applied originally ?
