I had applied for my EAD on 08/01/05 and today I got an email saying my EAD has been approved and a card will be mailed asap.
Looks like USCIS is at its optimum performance level. Hope this momentum continues when the State Dept comes out with good news in Oct.

How did you manage to get EAD approval so fast?

Wow! EAD approval in 10 days!
Was it paper filed or e-filed application? Which service center?

My son was forced to quit his summer job because the e-filed EAD has not been approved even after 60 days. He has been asked to wait for 90 days before he can get an i-EAD

Paper, Rock and Scissors

The GC process sure is like Paper, Rock and Scissors with the 3 elements being the applicant, USCIS and Dept of State. :)
Dallas To answer you question
My application was paper based and was applied in the Texas Center.

Sure USCIS is like a rock (unmoving)

Thanks for your quick response.
I agree with your simili! Sure USCIS has been like a rock (unmoving) and DOS like a scissors :)

Approvals

Guys and Gals,

I am going to quote one of the members of this forum who wisely said that the "TSC is consistently inconsistent." As funny as this sounds, it is right on the money. TSC can approve cases in days or make you wait for months. I have been waiting for my AP to be approved for over 8 months now. Others have gotten approved in weeks. There is no logic or reasoning behind this mess.

regards,

saras

Congrats

GC2RA,

Even I applied (E-filed) for EAD on Aug 01 and did biometrics on Aug 6. When did you do your biometrics?

Thanks
