EAD (I765) Application: Delay

Hello fellow adjustees,

After my I-485 was pending for almost a year, I applied for an EAD. It's been 100 days and BCIS has still not adjudicated on my application. I did receive a 90 day interim EAD from the local INS office.
Trying to call the NSC has become an excercise in futility. I always get busy signals during their business hours. Does anyone know if writing to them will help? I could continue to go down to the local office to keep getting 90 day extensions but I'd rather have the card and sit back for a year or until my I485 is approved (I hope!).

Thanks,
sadiq.

Hi,
which local office did you go to? also i though interim EAD is issued
for 240 days..

thanks

googol,

I went to the Portland, OR office. I went on March 4th and they said they would issue an interim EAD for 90 days. If NSC doesn't adjudicate on my case before June 4th, I need to go back and get another 90 day interim EAD. I don't know if they rules vary by local offices; I wish they did give me a 240 day EAD since my 485 may have been approved by then.

rgds,
sadiq
