EAD I 766 or I 688B

Does anyone know the difference between EAD I-688 and EAD I-766?
A friend of mine got I-766 by mail (labor based) I got a cheap I-688B at L A office (family based USC spouse).

They are both the same. It gives you the permission to work in the US.

All labor based EAD's are processed via the service center where as the Family based are processed via the district office. (but work permits (EAD's) based on marriage to a USC can be renewed online (where the EAD gets issued from the service center)
