Normally it is allowed for people in non-employment visa status (e.g. H4, F2) to perform volunteer work (with no financial remuneration).
I am wondering if that may be an option for people with expiring EADs who may be expecting EAD approval/renewal past the old EAD expiration. Does'nt sound attractive as such, but may be of interest for someone with time critical responsibilities or where continued employment depends on keeping a handle on the project(s) at hand.
