EAD help requested!

My spouse was able to get EAD but not me. My lawyer (company) is not willing to give me INS notification. So that I can apply EAD by myself. Is it illegal that lawyer keeping the notification and not sharing info with applicant? to be safe I want to apply for EAD. Any help appreciated.

Do you have 485 receipt copy at least?

You can use that to find the receipt number of EAD (and its status ) by calling the service number if you know the 485 receipt number or A#.
If you have the copy of 485 receipt you can apply for EAD all by yourself and receive it without the knowledge of employer or lawyer.

Lawyer might be considering your employer as primary client.

I am in the same boat.

My wife received receipt for EAD and my lawyer said INS have not issued me the receipt. Both EAD application was filed at the same time my wife got her in April 29, 02. I do not know what is going on.
