Ead/h1 - Urgent

My spouse is looking for a project and is currently on H1 due to expire in 2003.we also have EAD due to expire in 4 months.What do you think is the best option for her. H1 OR EAD.

1. if EAD is used, what happens after 4 months and if I loose my job in between.

2. Can she come back to H1
