EAD for spouse of permanent resident?

Is there any way I can get an EAD for my wife (currently on F1 - practical training EAD to expire on February 2004), based on my Green-card status, as her Green Card is pending on available visas?

I did file I-485 for her, as I have mentioned in my original post ("as her Green Card is pending on available visas") and her EAD is still valid ("practical training EAD to expire on February 2004").

So as far as I know since her Green Card application has been approved and waiting for available visas, she can still stay in the country while her visa is pending...

As far as H1 she probably won't be able to get it - very unusual in her industry (fashion design).

Can't she get a EAD since I have green card and her green card has been approved already?

Sorry, I filled for her an I-130. The application was sent to National Visa Center and we are waiting for visas to become available.
Does that mean that when her F1 expires (or three months thereafter), she has to go back to Japan? Can't she wait here in US for her Green Card?
Any chance she can get an EAD before she gets her Green Card (not a sponsored H1 visa)?
Any other venues I could research?

Thanks for all your patience and help.

I admit I am confused about I-485. That is petition for adjusting the status, correct? Can she file an I-485 now? Or that can be done only after the priority date becomes current? As I know it, now she cannot file for status adjustment (based on what), am I correct?

Thanks

Hey! We are in exactly the same situation and are exploring options for me to stay on after my OPT expires on April 30th. One of things your wife can do is take admission in some school and maintain her F1 status......I am not sure if she can apply for a visitors visa without disclosing that she is married to a GC holder? Is this a possibility? Does one have to go out fo the country to get a visitors visa or can one apply from within US?
