EAD for L2 spouse

Hello,
I'm working in U.S on a L1 Visa and am planning to bring
my spouse here on a L2 Visa. I heard that L2 spouses can work
in US with an Employment authorization document. I would like
to get some more information about this.

1. Is there any educational qualification restrictions for
getting an EAD ? (Like, can she get an EAD, even if she
is a computer science engineering graduate ?)
2. Can she work in the IT/Software industry OR are there
any restrictions on the kind of work an L2 spouse can
do in US ?
3. What is the process for getting an EAD and usually how
long does it take to get EAD?

-- No, There is no restriction. My wife too is Engg. grad. and she got hers.

- She can work any where she wants.

3. What is the process for getting an EAD and usually how
long does it take to get EAD?

-- Purpose is that she can work without H1 or such stuff. I think it takes little over 3 months. I don't about now, that was the case about a year back
