EAD for F1 wife

Gurus,

My wife is on F1 and working as a research assistant at a uninversity as per her F1 status. Her EAD has recently been been approved.

• 
  Now what should she do to continue her present work? Use her F1 status or use the EAD. She would like to use the F1 if possible.
  
  Does she have to use her EAD jsut because it has been approved

you wife does not have to use the EAD. SHe will remain on F-1 status until either one of the following happens:
1. The F-1 expires
2. she uses the EAD to work
3. she uses AP to enter the US
4. her AOS is approved.
