EAD filing only after I-485 receipt?

Hi,

recently my lawyer told me that I have to wait for my I-485 receipt notice to be able to file for EAD (concurrent filing VSC). From the dates in the trackers in this forum it seems that a lot of people file together or they don't specify. Please comments...

--your lawyer is correct, why you did not file EAD AP with I-485????

Sorry ginnu, but I do not understand your question. Here are my data (VSC):

I-140 NIW/I-485/I-131 RD 07/21/04
I-140 EB1EA RD 07/21/04

I-765 RD 08/25/04

You have 2 options:

File EAD alongwith your 485
(or)
If you want to file EAD AFTER filing 485, then your attorney is correct - you need to wait for your 485 receipt notice.

I think u did not file it before - so you have no choice but to wait for the receipt.
