My current EAD will be expiring end of this month.
My employer (immigration department) told me that I have to take
take leave of absence untill I get my EAD approved. Do I have any other options other than taking leave of absence? Can I go the TSC in person and get my EAD? When can I expect my EAD approved? Here are my case details. I really appreciate your comments and suggestions.

  EAD
  TSC
  RD - April 9, 2001
  ND - April 17, 200

Thanks

You can avoid leave of absence by going to your local INS office. If 90 days have passed since you filed for EAD, you can go to your local INS office to get EAD. It is well worth a try. Let me know your experience...

I went to the local office after 90 days. It did not work for me. They said they do not do it anymore. I can only wait for TX center approval. 90 days or 120 days, it does not matter. The local office just says NO.

Did you get a new one before your current one has expired?
If not, did you take leave of absence? Please let me know.

Thanks

Existing message from above web site. Is it still sure?

It is advisable to apply for your extension more than 90 days before your current EAD card expires because if an EAD extension is not approved within 90 days, it is automatically extended for 240 days, or until a decision is made, whichever comes first.
