EAD expiry date granted longer than expected

Hi,

I got my post completion EAD card but USCIS granted me for expiry date that causes my total time on OPT for more than 12 months. How should this this handled? Should I send it back to USCIS for correction?

My friend had a similar situation. He sent it back to USCIS for correction but the expiry date on the new EAD card is still wrong. So not sure if this is useful.

Any advice will be appreciated!

Hello, I have the same case as yours. It would be grateful if you could please tell me what steps you took or is it resolved ?

Also, in your friend's case, the new expiry date he got is the same as old one?

For my friend, he got the same old expiry date. He waited for 5 months trying to get this fixed by USCIS.

I talked to my company HR and she said it should be fine. But I asked my school international office staff and they asked me to make the corrections with USCIS. I just mailed my card to USCIS 2,3 weeks back, but I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Just an update for my case. I got the corrected EAD from USCIS after one month. And they did it correctly. Good luck to others who have similar situation as me!
